Back to School...

Hello, it's been a long hot Summer what with my parent's visiting and the children being around. I can finally get to sit down with the laptop and write something! I wanted to tell you about how my first Canadian job went. It was great and I learnt a lot. I was hired to do the make-up for a friend of mine as she was going to a wedding. I got to apply false eyelashes for the first time - I had only ever applied them to myself - and it went well. It was easier actually than applying to oneself as I could see with both eyes instead of one! As you can see from the photos, she was pleased with the result and so was I. Next thing for me is to organise a Make-Over Party for the ladies in my circle and beyond. Just an idea at the moment but I hope to gather a few ladies for a make-over, wine, cheese, in exchange for before and after photographs for the site. I'm also hoping to work closely with one or two hair salons, offering my services on a freelance basis. This mean I have to get organised and have some business cards and/or brochures made up. I have some contacts that I'm hoping to target over the next few weeks so we'll see. Well, the boys are back at school tomorrow which means that I'll be available to blog more and get some new videos done. I'm already thinking about Halloween. I want to make up my husband as the Joker from the Dark Knight movie and I'm going to have a goth/emo look with red mascara etc. Not sure about the children yet - still thinking, any ideas welcome. If you have any suggestions for looks you want me to demo then let me know. OK, so I'm going now but I hope you like the photos. Cheers!DCP_0268
